Zinc manganese dioxide dry battery, abbreviated as zinc manganese battery, is a primary battery using manganese dioxide as positive active material and zinc as negative active material. Zinc manganese battery is named according to its overall dimension and electrochemical system. The shape of the battery is divided into cylindrical (represented by R ") and non cylindrical battery (represented by P).
In recent years, the so-called battery "explosion" has been reported from time to time. The reason is mostly due to improper use or misuse. For example, charging, reverse connection and short circuit of the battery will produce a large amount of gas inside the battery. When the internal pressure increases to a certain value, the substances inside the battery may be discharged instantly (explosion). If the battery is short circuited, the battery capacity will be greatly reduced and liquid leakage is easy to occur.
