This test is carried out after the battery is fully charged. The test shall be carried out according to the following steps:
a) Solution preparation: prepare solution with pH value of 11.0 ± 0.1 (NaOH solution with mass fraction of 0.004% can be used),And heat the solution to (45 ± 2) ° C ;
b) Immersion: fix the sample on the rotating device, and then place the sample in the solution (the height from the center of the battery to the liquid level is 300 mm ± 10 mm) for 0.5h. Keep the temperature of the solution at (45 ± 2) ° C during the test;
c) Stirring: fix the sample on the rotating device, rotate it in the solution for 0.5h, and the rotating speed is 60R / min;
d)dehydration: remove the solution, rotate for 10min and rotate at 800r / min;
e) Drying: place the sample in a high-temperature box and heat it for 0.5h at (45 ± 2) ° C;
f)if the sample can still be charged and discharged, the test shall be completed after one discharge and charging cycle according to the charging and discharging method specified in 4.5; If the sample cannot continue charging and discharging, the test shall be ended.
Result: no fire, no explosion.
