Impact (for cylindrical batteries with a diameter of not less than 18 mm)
Place the cell or polymer cell used for the test sample on a flat and smooth plane
Place a cross bar with a diameter of 15.8mm across the middle of the battery, and then remove an object with a mass of 9.1kg from 61+2.5cm to the sample.
The longitudinal axis of the specimen subjected to impact shall be parallel to the flat surface and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the curved surface with a diameter of 15.8 + 0.1 mm placed transverse to the center of the specimen. Each specimen is subjected to only one impact.
Results: the maximum surface temperature of the cell or battery shall not exceed 170 ° C. There shall be no disintegration and ignition of the cell and polymer cell within 6 hours after the test.
The battery is tested at an ambient temperature of 20 ° C + 5 ° C. The test sample is placed on a plane. A cast strip with a diameter of 15.8mm + 0.1mm is placed in the center of the sample. An object weighing 9.1kg+0.46kg dropped from the height of 25mm of 610mm soil and impacted the battery.
The cylindrical or prismatic battery shall be subjected to the heavy object impact test when its longitudinal axis is parallel to the plane and placed vertically and horizontally under the casting strip with a diameter of 15.8mm. The edge battery rotates 90 ° around its longitudinal axis, so that its wide and narrow edges are impacted.
Each sample cell is squeezed in only one direction. Separate samples shall be used for each test. The button battery shall be placed horizontally in its plane parallel to the bottom of the 15.8mm diameter cast strip for heavy object impact test, and shall stand for 6h.
Result: no fire No explosion.
After the battery is fully charged according to the test method specified in 4.5.1, place the battery on the platform surface, place the metal rod with a diameter of 15.8 mm + 0.2 mm horizontally on the upper surface of the geometric center of the battery, impact the battery surface with the metal rod from a height of 610 mm + 25 mm with a weight of 9.1 kg + 0.1 kg and observe for 6 hours.
During the impact test of cylindrical battery, the longitudinal axis shall be parallel to the surface of the weight, and the metal rod shall be perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the battery
The impact test of straight and square batteries is only carried out on the wide surface. When the impact test is carried out on the button battery, the metal rod shall cross the center of the battery surface. Only one impact test shall be conducted for one sample.
The battery shall be free from fire and explosion.
Note: This article does not apply to flexible packaging batteries.
The battery sample is placed on a flat surface, and a cast strip with a diameter of 15.8mm is placed in the center of the sample. An object weighing 9.1kg falls from a height of 610mm ± 25mm, impacts the battery and stands still.
Result: no fire, no explosion.
